fut0006 - How to composite 2D elements in 2D image

In this tutorial, you will composite 2d text and image. Figure 1 shows the final output of the composition.

The following steps are required to complete this tutorial:

1.
Download the fut0006.rar from the following link: http://www.mediafire.com/download/ldyolg8xc9ivqo9/fut006.rar

2. Extract contents of the zipped file to the folder of your choice on the disk.

3.   Choose the LD button from the toolbar; the Open File dialog box is displayed. Navigate to the folder where you have saved the downloaded file and then select letter box.jpg. Next, choose the Open button. 

4.  Press 1; the output of the Loader1 tool is displayed in the left Display View. Next, choose the Fit button from the right Display View toolbar to fit the image into the Display View.

5.  Choose the BC button on the toolbar; the BrightnessContrast1 tool tile is inserted in Flow area.

6.  Press 1; the output of the BrightnessContrast1 tool is displayed in the left Display View. 

7.  In the BrightnessContrast1 tool control window, set the values of the parameters as follows:

    Gain: 0.9                   Lift: -0.05                          Gamma: 0.9                           Saturation: 1.21
    Low: 0.11                 Gamma: 0.86

8.  Choose the Txt button from the toolbar; the Text1 tool is inserted in the Flow area. 

9.  Click on the red output of the BrightnessContrast1 tool to the red output of the Text1 tool; the Merge1 tool is inserted in the Flow area. Press 1; the output of the Merge1 tool is displayed in the left Display View. 

10.  In the Text tab of the Text1 tool control window, select the Underline check box and set the values of the parameters as follows:

       Size: 0.09             Font: BankGothic Lt BT        Styled Text: CADCIM Technologies

11.   In the Shading tab of the Text1 tool control window, choose the 3 button. Next, select the Enabled check box.

12.  In the Shading tab of the Text1 tool control window, enter 25 in the Priority Back edit box.

13.  Make sure Text1 tool is selected in the Flow area and choose Tools > Transform > DVE from the menubar; the DVE1 tool is inserted in the Flow area.

14.  In the DVE1 tool control window,  set the values of the parameters as follows:

      Center 
      X: 0.48                   Y: 0.5

     Rotation Order: YZX

    Y Rotation: -26.66

15.  In the Merge1 tool control window, set the values of the parameters as follows:

     Center 
      X: 0.4                     Y: 0.47                 Size: 0.3                  Apply Mode: Luminosity

      The output of the composition is shown in Figure 2.

16.  Choose the BG button from the toolbar; the Background1 tool  is inserted in the Flow area. Next, choose Rct button in the toolbar; the Rectangle1 tool is inserted and connected in the Flow area. 

17. Choose Tools > Transform > DVE from the menubar; the DVE2 tool is inserted in Flow area. In DVE2 tool control window, set the values of the following parameters:

Z Move: 1.36                        Z Pivot: 0.21

Rotation Order: YZX

X Rotation: 5.71                   Y Rotation: -21                              Perspective: 0.7

18.   Click on the red output of the Merge1 tool to the red output of the DVE1 tool; the Merge2 tool is inserted in the Flow area. Press 1; the output of the Merge2 tool is displayed in the left Display View. 

19.    In the Merge2 tool control window, set the values of the parameters as follows:

     Center 
      X: 0.35                        Y: 0.23

     Size: 0.22

      The output of the composition is shown in Figure 3.

20.  Choose the LD button from the toolbar; the Open File dialog box is displayed. Navigate to the folder where you have saved the downloaded file and then select letter.tga. Next, choose the Open button. The Loader1 tool tile is inserted in the Flow area.
21. Make sure the Loader2 tool tile in selected in the Flow area and then choose the Tools > Transform > DVE from the toolbar; the DVE2 tool tile is inserted and connected to the Flow area.

22. In the DVE2 tool control window, set the values of the parameters as follows:

   Z Move: 1.36

   Z Pivot:  0.21
   X Rotation: 5.71                   Y Rotation: -20.1                              Perspective: 0.78

23. Click on the red output of the Merge1 tool to the red output of the DVE2 tool; the Merge3 tool is inserted in the Flow area. Press 1; the output of the Merge3 tool is displayed in the left Display View. 

24. In the Merge2 tool control window, set the values of the parameters as follows:

     Center 
      X: 0.34                             Y: 0.22

     Size: 1.25

 The final output of the composition is shown in Figure 4.

fut0003 - Create a 3D texture and composite in a 2D image

In this tutorial, you will create a 3d texture using various material tools and composite in 2d image in eyeon Fusion. Figure1 shows the final output.

The following steps are required to complete this tutorial:

1. Download the fut0003.rar from the following link: http://www.mediafire.com/?k5288w91eeo16


2. Extract contents of the zipped file to the folder of your choice on the disk.


3. Choose the LD button from the toolbar; the Open File dialog box is displayed. Navigate the folder and select day.jpg then choose the Open button.


4. Choose the 3Im from the toolbar; the ImagePlane3D1 is inserted in the toolbar. Drag the red output node of the Loader1 tool tile to the orange input of the ImagePlane3D1, refer to Figure 2.

 5. Press 1; the output of the ImagePlane3D1 tool tile is inserted in the Flow area. Figure 3 shows the output of the ImagePlane3D1 tool.

 6. Choose the LD button from the toolbar; the Open File dialog box is displayed. Navigate the folder and select light-wood-texture.jpg then choose the Open button.

7. Choose Tools > 3D > Material > Blinn from the toolbar; the Blinn1 tool tile is inserted in the toolbar. Drag the red output node of the Loader2 tool tile to the orange input of the Blinn1 tool.

8. Click in the empty space of the Flow area. Next, choose Tools > 3D > Texture > BumpMap from the menubar; the BumpMap1 tool tile is inserted in the Flow area. Next, click on the red output node of the Loader2 tool and drag it to the orange node of the BumpMap1 tool; a connection between the BumpMap1 and Loader2 tools is established.

9. Click on the red output node of the BumpMap1 tool to the white node of the Blinn1 tool tile in the Flow area; a connection between the BumpMap1 and Blinn1 tools is established. Figure 4 shows the network of tools.

10.  In the BumpMap1 tool control window, set the values of the following parameters:

The Source Image is a: Heightmap

Clamp Normal.Z: 0.32                                  


Height Scale: 4.2


11. Make sure the BumpMap1 tool tile is selected in the Flow area. Figure 5 shows the output of the BumpMap1 in the left Display View.

12. Click in the empty space of the Flow area. Next, choose Tools > 3D > Shape3D from the menubar; the Shape3D1 tool is inserted in the Flow area.

13. In the Controls tab of the Shape3D1 tool control window, set the values of the following parameters:
  Shape: Cube
  Clear the Lock Width/Height/Depth check box
  Width: 5.55                                  Height: 1.1
  Depth: 0.11

14. In the 3D Controls tab of the Shape3D1 tool control window, set the values of the following parameters:
Translation
 X Offset: 0.07                                Y Offset: 0.12                                   
 Z Offset: 0.014

Rotation
Rotation Order: XYZ
X Rotation: –13.03                       Y Rotation: 18.46                              
Z Rotation: 7.87
Scale: 0.08

Select the Use Target check box

X Target Position: –67.43               Y Rotation: –114.5                          
 Z Rotation: –267.3

15. Make sure the Shape3D1 tool tile is selected in the Flow area. Next, choose Tools > 3D > Transform3D from the menubar; the Transform3D1 tool is inserted in the Flow area and a connection     between the Shape3D1 and Transform3D1 tools is established.

16. In the Transform3D1 tool control window, set the values of the following parameters:

Translation
X Offset: 0.26                                   Y Offset: –0.075                      
Z Offset: –0.31

Rotation
Rotation Order: YXZ
X Rotation: 12.1                                Y Rotation: 40.22                  
Z Rotation: –2.01

Pivot
X Pivot: 0.4                                        Y Pivot: 0.66                          
Z Pivot: 0.38

Select the Use Target check box

X Target Position: 4                         Y Target Position: 0.1
             
Z Target Position: 18.74

17. Make sure the Transform3D1 tool tile is selected in the Flow area. Next, choose Tools > 3D > Duplicate3D from the menubar; the Duplicate3D1 tool is inserted in the Flow area and a connection between the Duplicate3D1 and Transform3D1 tools is established.

18. In the Duplicate3D1 tool control window, set the values of the following parameters:

Last Copy: 4

Translation
Y Offset: –0.1

19. Click and drag the red output node of the ImagePlane3D1 tool to the red output node of the Duplicate 3D1 tool; the Merge3D1 tool is inserted in the Flow area and a connection between the ImagePlane3D1 and Duplicate3D1 tools is established.

20. In the Merge3D1 tool control window, set the values of the following parameters:
Translation
 X Offset: –0.2                                Z Offset: –0.24
 Scale: 2.45

21. Make sure the Merge3D1 tool is selected in the Flow area. Next, choose Tools > 3D > Light > Point Light from the menubar; the Pointlight1 tool is inserted in the Flow area and a connection between the Merge3D1 and Pointlight1 tools is established.

22. Enter 0.6 in the Intensity edit box of the Pointlight1 tool control window.

23. Make sure the Merge3D1 tool is selected in the Flow area. Next, choose the 3Rn button from the toolbar; the Renderer3D1 tool is inserted in the Flow area and a connection between the Merge3D1 and Renderer3D1 tools is established.

24. In the Renderer3D1 tool control window, select the Enable Lighting and Enable Shadows check boxes from the Lighting area. Figure 7 shows the output of the Renderer3D1 tool.

25. Make sure the Renderer3D1 tool tile is selected in the Flow area and then choose Tools > Effect > Shadow from the menubar; the Shadow1 tool is inserted in the Flow area and a connection between the Renderer3D1 and Shadow1 tool is established.

26. In the Shadow1 tool control window, set the values of the following parameter:
Shadow Offset
X: 0.4                                                            Y: 0.59

Shadow Color
R: 0.18                                                         G: 0.12 

B:.055                                                          A: 0.75

27. Make sure the Shadow1 tool is selected in the Flow area. Next, choose the Rct button from the toolbar; the Rectangle1 tool  is inserted in the Flow area and a connection between the Shadow1 and Rectangle1 tools is established.

28. In the Rectangle1 tool control window, set the values of the following parameters:

Center
X: 0.51                                                       Y: 0.42
 Width: 0.009                                               Height: 0.68

29. Make sure the Rectangle1 tool is selected in the Flow area. Next, choose the Rct button from the toolbar; the Rectangle2 tool is inserted in the Flow area and a connection between the Rectangle2 and Rectangle1 tools is established.

30. In the Rectangle2 tool control window, set the values of the following parameters:

Paint Mode: Subtract

Center
X: 0.51                                                        Y: 0.587
Width: 0.012                                               Height: 0.019
Angle: –180

31. Make sure the Rectangle2 tool is selected in the Flow area. Next, press CTRL+C and press CTRL+V  in the Flow area and a connection between the Rectangle2 and Rectangle2_1 tools is established.

32. Enter 0.42 in Y in the Center area of the Rectangle2_1 tool control window.  

33. Make sure the Rectangle2_1 tool is selected in the Flow area. Next, press CTRL+C and press CTRL+V in the Flow area and a connection between the Rectangle2_1 and Rectangle2_1_1 tools is established. 

34.  Enter 0.24 in Y in the Center area of the Rectangle2_1_1 tool control window.

Figure 8 shows the output of the Shadow1 tool.

fut0002 - Create the dragon texture using various material tools

In this tutorial, you will create a dragon skin texture using various material tools in eyeon Fusion. Figure 1 shows the final output.

The following steps are required to add texture to the dragon:

1. Download the fut0002.rar from the following link: http://www.mediafire.com/?dsutd0tjmqib9bt


2. Extract contents of the zipped file to the folder of your choice on the disk.


3. Choose the BG button from the toolbar; the Background1 tool tile is inserted in the Flow area.


4. In the Color tab of the Background1 tool control window, set the values of the following parameters:


   R: 1 G: 1 B: 1 A: 1


5. Choose the LD button from the toolbar; the Open File dialog box is displayed. Navigate the folder and select Dragon.tiff then choose the Open button. Next, press 1 to the view the output in the left Display View. Figure 2 shows the output of the Loader1 tool in the left Display View.

6. Make sure the Loader1 tool tile is selected in the Flow area. Choose the XF button from the toolbar; the Transform1 tool tile is selected in the Flow area. 

7. In the Transform1 tool control window, set the values of the following parameters:


   Center

   X: 1.16       Y: 1.42

   Size: 2.5


   Aspect: 1.6


8. Click on the red output of the Transform1 tool to the red output of the Background1 tool; the Merge1 tool is inserted in the Flow area. Press 1; the output of the Merge1 tool is displayed in the left Display View. 


9. Enter 3 in the Size edit box of the Merge1 tool control window. Figure 3 shows the output of the Merge1 tool in the left Display View.

10. Click in the empty space of the Flow area. Next, choose the LD button from the toolbar; the Open File dialog box is displayed and select texture.png then choose the Open button from the  dialog box.

11. Choose Tools > 3D > Texture > BumpMap from the menubar; the BumpMap1 tool tile is inserted in the Flow area and a connection between the Loader2 and BumpMap1 tools is established.


12. Enter 2 in the Height Scale edit box of the BumpMap tool control window.


13. Press 1; the output of the BumpMap1 tool is displayed in the left Display View. Figure 4 shows the output of BumpMap1 tool in the left Display View.

14. Choose Tools > 3D > Material > Blinn from the menubar; the Blinn1 tool is inserted in the Flow area. Next, click on the red output node of the Loader2 tool and drag it to the orange node of the Blinn1 tool; a connection between the Blinn1 and Loader2 tools is established.

15. Press 2; the output of the Blinn1 tool is displayed in the right Display View. Next, click on the red output node of the BumpMap1 tool to the white node of the Blinn1 tool; a connection between the Blinn1 and BumpMap1 tools is established.


Figure 5 shows the output of the Blinn1 is displayed in the right Display View.

16. Make sure the Blinn1 tool tile is selected in the Flow area and then choose Tools > 3D > Shape3D from the menubar; the Shape3D1 tool is inserted in the Flow area and a connection between the Shape3D1 and Blinn1 tools is established.

17. Click in the empty space of the Flow area and then choose Tools > 3D > Merge3D from the menubar; the Merge3D1 tool is inserted in Flow area. Next, click on the red output node of the Shape3D1 tool to the orange input node of the Merge3D1 tool; a connection between the Merge3D1 and Shape3D1 tools is established.


18. Press 2; the output of the Merge3D1 tool is displayed in the right Display View. 



19. Make sure the Merge3D1 tool tile is selected in the Flow area and then choose Tools > 3D > Light > Point Light from the menubar; the PointLight1 tool is inserted in the Flow area and a connection between the PointLight1, Merge3D1, Shape3D1 tools is established.


20. Enter 1.7 in the Intensity edit box of the PointLight1 tool control window.



Figure 6 shows the output of the Merge3D1 is displayed in the right Display View.

21. Choose the 3Rn button from the toolbar; a connection between the Merge3D1 and Renderer3D1 tools is established.

22. Press 2; the output of the Renderer3D1 tool is displayed in the right Display View. 


23. Choose Tools > Transform > Crop from the menubar; the Crop1 tool is inserted in the Flow area and a connection between the Crop1 and Renderer3D1 tools is established.


24. In the Crop1 tool control window, set the values of the following parameters:


     X Offset: 554          Y Offset: 308

      
     X Size: 940            Y Size: 940 

25. Click on the red output of the Crop1 tool to the red output of the Merge1 tool; the Merge2 tool is inserted in the Flow area. Press 1; the output of the Merge1 tool is displayed in the left Display View. 


26. Click in the empty space of the Flow area and then choose the Ply button from the toolbar; the Polygon1 tool is inserted in the Flow area. Next, create a polygon around the dragon, refer to Figure 7.

27. Click on the red output node of the Polygon1 tool to the purple node of the Merge2 tool; a connection between the Polygon1 and Merge2 tools is established.

28. In the Merge2 tool control window, set the values of the following parameters:


   Size : 2.9


   Apply Mode : Multiply



Figure 8 shows the output of the Merge3D1 is displayed in the left Display View.

29. Click in the empty space of the Flow area and then choose LD button from the toolbar; the Open File dialog box is displayed and select eye.jpg then choose the Open button.

30. Make sure the Loader3 tool tile is selected in the Flow area and then choose the Elp button from the toolbar; the Ellipse1 tool is inserted in the Flow area and a connection between the Ellipse1 and Loader3 tools is established.

31. In the Ellipse1 tool control window, set the values in the following parameters:


   Center

   X: 0.57             Y: 0.45

   Width: 0.45       Height: 0.45


32. Click on the red output of the Loader3 tool to the red output of the Merge2 tool; the Merge3 tool is inserted in the Flow area. Press 1; the output of the Merge1 tool is displayed in the left Display View. 


33. In the Merge3 tool control window, set the values in the following parameters:


   

   Center
   X: 0.44       Y: 0.8

  Angle: -30


Figure 9 shows the output of the textured dragon.

fut0001 - Creating blowing leaves simulation by using Replicate3D tool in eyeon Fusion

In this tutorial, you will create a blowing leaves simulation using the Replicate3D tool in eyeon Fusion. The Replicate3D tool is used to replicate multiple instances of selected geometry or image. Figure 1 shows the output of the Renderer3D1 tool at frame 50.

The following steps are required to create blowing leaves simulation:

1. Download the fut0001.rar from the following link: http://www.mediafire.com/?hlmyqp5y51d9d07

2. Extract contents of the zipped file to the folder of your choice on the disk.

3. Choose the LD button from the toolbar; the Open File dialog box is displayed. Navigate the folder and select maple tree.jpg then choose the Open button.

4. Choose the 3Im from the toolbar; the ImagePlane3D1 is inserted in the toolbar. Drag the red output node of the Loader1 tool tile to the orange input of the ImagePlane3D1, refer to Figure 2.

5. Press 1; the output of the ImagePlane3D1 tool tile is inserted in the Flow area. Figure 3 shows the output of the ImagePlane3D1 tool.

6. Choose the LD button from the toolbar; the Open File dialog box is displayed. Navigate the folder and select leaf maple.tga then choose the Open button.

7. Choose the LD button from the toolbar; the Loader2 tool tile is inserted in Flow area. Next, choose the Image tab in the control window and select the Post-Multiply by Alpha checkbox, refer to Figure 4

8. Choose the 3Im from the toolbar; the ImagePlane3D2 is inserted in the toolbar. Drag the red output node of the Loader2 tool tile to the orange input of the ImagePlane3D2 tool.

9. Press 2; the output of the ImagePlane3D2 tool tile is inserted in the Flow area. Figure 5 shows the output of the ImagePlane3D2 tool.

10. Click on the red output node of the ImagePlane3D2 to the red output node of the ImagePlane3D1; the Merge3D1 tool is inserted in the Flow area.

11. Press 1; the output of the Merge3D1 tool tile is inserted in the Flow area. Figure 6 shows the output of the Merge3D1 tool.


12. Make sure the ImagePlane3D2 tool tile is selected from the Flow area and then choose Tools > 3D > Replicate 3D tool from the menubar; the Replicate3D1 tool is inserted in the Flow area and a connection between the ImagePlane3D2 and Merge3D1 tools is established.


13. Click on the red output node of the ImagePlane3D2 tool to green node of the Replicate3D1 tool. Figure 7 shows the connection of Replicate3D1 tool with the other tools.

14. Make sure the Merge3D1 tool tile is selected from the Flow area and then choose the 3Cm button from the toolbar; the Camera3D1 tool is inserted in the Flow area and a connection between the Camera3D1 and Merge3D1 tools is established.

15. Make sure the Merge3D1 tool tile is selected from the Flow area and then choose the 3Rn button from the toolbar; the Renderer3D1 tool is inserted in the Flow area and a connection between the Renderer3D1 and Merge3D1 tools is established.

16. Press 2; the output of the Renderer3D1 tool tile is inserted in the Flow area. Figure 8 shows the output of the Renderer3D1 tool.

17. In the Image tab of the Renderer3D1 tool control window, set the values of following parameters as follows:

Width: 462  Height: 542


18. In the Timeline, enter 100 in the Global End Time edit box.

19. In the Controls tab of the Replicate3D1 tool control window, set the values of following parameters as follows:

Step: 20  Time Offset: -5.0

20. Choose the Controls tab in the Replicate3D1 tool control window and then right-click on the X Offset tab in the Translation area; a shortcut menu is displayed. Choose the Animate option from the shortcut menu; a keyframe is added at frame 0

21. Animate the X Offset and Y Offset control by using the values given in the table below:

100       0.08     -1.1


Next, choose the Set Key from the shortcut menu.

22. Choose the YXZ button from the Rotation Order in the Rotation area.


23. Set the values in the following parameters:

Rotation area

X Rotation: 155  Y Rotation: 230  Z Rotation: 71


24. Enter 0.7 in Scale edit box of the Replicate3D1 tool.


25. In the Jitter tab of the Replicate3D1 tool, set the values in the following parameters:

Random Seed: 32767

Rotation Jitter

X Rotation: 34  Y Rotation: 77  Z Rotation: 41


Figure 9 shows the output of the Renderer3D1 tool at frame 50.
